I Had the pleasure of meeting Laura at one of our workshops. When she approached us about becoming a vendor I was thrilled! I just love the concept of this business and these candles. Each scent is names after a different musician and contains a little surprise inside: a crystal! These candles are hand poured in Texas, phthalate free, and have lead free wicks!

What inspired you to start your business:
My love for candles and their ability to create a cozy environment. We are music lovers in my family. Our favorite moments are when we are hanging out listening to records and there’s always a candle, or two burning. Something about the music, the candles, and the company creates the best kind of magic. That’s where the inspiration came from. Our motto is “Light a Candle, Make Magic” and that’s what we hope our candles will do.

How long have you been in business:
A little over a year now. One year and five months to be exact.

What makes your business unique:
I think it’s how we have hopefully connected good scents with great musicians. And the hidden crystal inside the wax of each candle doesn’t hurt. We like to think of it as the “prize” inside.

What’s your favorite part of owning your own business:
I love being able to use my right brain functions, like creativity and imagination. It’s fun to create things first in your brain and then with your hands. It’s very rewarding. And also very therapeutic. Meeting and connecting with customers and hearing positive feedback is awesome too!!

Any advice for entrepreneurs who want to start a business:
Oh gosh, this is where I struggle. The business side of this gig is something I’m still in the process of learning. So maybe I need the advice!!

What I absolutely love is that even though this is a “side hustle” for Laura, she has created this business with such excellence! Her Instagram is fabulous, the candles themselves smell amazing, and the concept is genius! We are honored she is apart of 410 Collective and can’t wait to watch her business grow more and more!
